Ideation
Revolving around the idea of producing the perfect portable studio for industrial designers. It became important to focus on all aspects of design and narrowing down problems that can not easily be solved through current methods. Progressively moving more in the direction for developing prototypes and carrying all the necessary supplies that can not easily be organized in an ordinary toolbox.
Cutting Mat
Every industrial designer needs a cutting mat. With the handy built in mat holder, the mat can be used, removed and replaced at anytime.
Final Design
Easily collapsible and carrying with the built in the strap, the ProtoShop can be carried to work, a trip or even used in tight spaces without a proper available workshop.
Integral Hinge
The ProtoShop uses a tri-fold design to fold up compact. The injected molded plastic is manufactured with living/integral hinges to properly close and work well after many uses.
Portability
The dual velcro strap makes it easy to carry the ProtoShop like a hand bag.
Manufactoring
The design is made from a die line laser cut into cardboard, glue, and a single spring. All with manufacturing costs similar to current packaging options.
Varitaions
The battery dispenser comes in multiple sizes, available for AA, AAA and 9V in sizes 8x, 12x and 20x. Ready to use right off the shelf, and made from recyclable materials.
